Why do people eat food that is unhealthy for them?
It is the cheapest and most widely available product. Why would someone go out of their way and spend more simply to eat healthier? Especially when the health risks aren't proven. All of our options are not even presented to us on a given basis.
Should the government have any control over what we eat?
The government should have control over the companies that make the food which is all ready true with the work of the Food and Drug Administration. As for regulating what we eat, that is borderline communism and will never happen in this country. However the companies must be held accountable to the ingredients in their products.

You bring up a very interesting perspective and your opinion really comes through, you seem to have a solid background about government control over our choices.
ReplyDeleteAlso you spelled "already" wrong.
You bring up an interesting argument to this discussion. Do you find yourself ever going out of your way to eat healthy foods? Also when you say that companies should be held accountable, what do you mean? What kind of punishments do you think they should face?

Hello,You bring up an interesting argument.I agree with you.I think that unhealthy food is the cheapest and most widely available product.Sometimes I eat unhealthy food for example MC Donalds products I like.I like hamburgers,chickenburgers....I like meal for example steak, fried chop, fried cheese....accordingly I take these meals unhealthy.I consider as healthy food fruit, vegetables, spelt products, from drinks for example water or mineral water. But I like sweets for example chocolate,biscuits,sweets,wafers.....
